Can I take the test without going through the entire course?

Generally you have to complete the entire 3 hour training and pass the test. However, if you completed a #1 ALERT training or other alcohol server training course in another state and that training course is also certified in the state of Washington, you may receive a class 12 or 13 permit in Washington by completing the #1 ALERT Washington State supplement to the program and passing the standardized exam.
