The purpose of the seminar is not only to educate the public about the laws and liabilities but also to inspire them to be responsible when it comes to the service of alcohol.
Responsibilities include:
- Professional demeanor and attitude is a must.
- Follow company procedures concerning required paperwork before and after the seminar.
- Always arrive on time - 15-20 minutes prior to start of seminar.
- Conduct a 3 hour mandatory alcohol liability prevention seminar to an audience of servers, bartenders, and management of partnering establishments.
- Create an engaging and interactive atmosphere where participants are encouraged to learn.
- Closely follow the Trainer Manual provided by the National Licensing Association.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2 years of post secondary education (Associate Degree) or a combination of the following fields, or equivalent years of experience: training; education; law; law enforcement; substance abuse rehabilitation; and/or hospitality industry.
- Successfully complete the #1 ALERT Trainer certification seminar available Online / In-person.
- Ability to present in a classroom setting
- Attention to detail and consistently dependable
- Active driver’s license
- Basic computer knowledge (Excel, Internet, etc)
- US Citizen or a permanent resident authorized to work in the US
Additional Qualifications:
- Comfortable with the internet
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Marketing experience
- 1 year of experience in hospitality management
- 2 years of experience in the hospitality industry
- 2 years of experience in public speaking
- Excellent Written / Oral Communication Skills
- Hold an active Class 12 Mixologist permit issued by the #1 ALERT Program
- Bachelor Degree in education, law, law enforcement, substance abuse rehabilitation, and/or hospitality management.
